LGBT History Month, recognized throughout the month of October, has blossomed into a nationally coordinated effort to highlight exemplary role models within the LGBT community. To commemorate this month, the San Antonio LGBT Chamber of Commerce has prepared the 5th annual celebration for National Coming Out Day's 31st anniversary.
National Coming Out Day was created in 1988 in recognition of the importance - both personal and political - of "coming out". The day champions the idea that homophobia thrives in silence, and that the act of making one´s sexual orientation or gender identity known makes it easier for others to do the same.
The SA LGBT Chamber of Commerce has been proud to host a local celebration since 2014. The local event has taken place at Mission Marquee Plaza thanks to our partnership with the City Center Development Office of San Antonio. This year's Platinum Sponsor is Bexar County Small Business & Entrepreneurship Department.
Join us on Friday, October 11th from 5 pm - 11 pm at Mission Marquee Plaza.
